Vanessa Castro

Vanessa Castro joined our practice in January 2018. She graduated from Bergen Community College with a certification in Surgical Technology in 2017 and in 2018 she graduated with an Associated degree in General Science, Natural Science and Math. She completed her internship at Hackensack University Medical Center. She plans on furthering her education to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Vanessa has gained considerable experience in assisting with all procedures in the office. Her work ethic is very patient centered with a constant smile on her face. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog going out for walks and adventures.

Sandra Buffone, RVT

Sandra Buffone joined our team in October 2017. Sandra graduated from Eastwick College with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography. Since graduating, she has obtained her credentials as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, taking spin classes, and she is always looking to try something new. Sandra has a strong work ethic and her positive attitude always brightens up our office. She has become a great asset to our team.

Rashmi Sharma, MD

Rashmi Sharma, MD, RPVI, is a fellowship-trained, vascular surgeon who welcomes patients at her private practice, Hampton Vein & Vascular in Westfield and Rutherford, New Jersey. Her extensive training in the endovascular and surgical treatment of arterial and venous diseases ensures exceptional outcomes, while compassion and concern for each individual contribute to the patient’s overall health and well-being. Dr. Sharma specializes in using venous duplex ultrasound to perform in-office diagnostic studies, then develops customized treatment for conditions such as spider veins, varicose, veins, and venous insufficiency. Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She then finished her surgical residency at the University of California, Davis, East Bay. She earned her board certification in general surgery in 1999, then went on to complete an endovascular fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix and a vascular fellowship at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta. In 2002, Dr. Sharma was board certified in vascular surgery. Dr. Sharma is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), which supports her expertise in vascular ultrasound interpretation and validates that she has the knowledge and skills to make consistent, reliable diagnoses in vascular disease. When she’s not helping patients, Dr. Sharma enjoys yoga, cooking, photography, and traveling.
